Robert Stillerman
Robert Stillerman is a technology expert with over 40 years’ experience in a diverse set of technologies including telecommunications, data communications, VoIP, call centers, security, web technologies and systems and computer-based applications. Robert has designed and developed telecommunication software and systems, wireless communications products and systems, and software as a service and has worked for such companies as Bell Telephone Laboratories, ITT, ROLM, UNISYS, and Harris.
He has served as an expert and technology consultant in numerous litigations and has testified on cases involving a broad range of technology subjects, including wireless, Voice over IP, the legacy Public Switched Telephone Network, the evolved public network, software, security, and many others.
Testifying Experience
Robert has over 20 years’ experience providing expert testimony for patent litigation and contract disputes in Telecommunications, wireless technologies, electronic devices, and software systems, providing expert reports, depositions, and trial testimony. He has worked on more than 50 cases; has been deposed over 25 times,and has testified in Court 7 times. As testifying expert at trial on behalf of defendant Orange in a trade secrets case, the jury found in favor of Orange. His testimony on behalf of Apple in the ED of Texas, resulted in Apple being found not to infringe the patent on which he opined, whereas Apple did infringe the other five patents in suit. In another case in the ED Texas, Metaswitch v. Genband, Robert’s client Genband, as defendant, was found not to infringe the patents he defended; the patents were found to be invalid.

While primarily responsible for market and business development, I also led teams in technical marketing, regulatory affairs and product management for microwave radio products
Developed a radio and network management tool that became a standard in the microwave industry

Led Harris into the Broadband Wireless Access business, including the acquisition of Wavtrace Corporation and the launch of an internally developed product. Oversaw the architecture and cost/performance tradeoffs

Responsible for overall marketing, product management, product requirements and communication activities within the company for the cable telephony product line
Wrote product requirement documents, specifications, and marketing plans for the FPN system, including network management, subscriber equipment and the overall system
Repositioned FPN’s cable-telephony product line to the residential market, expanding FPN’s addressable market multifold
